Base principle of water flow sensor

Water flow sensor is mainly composed of copper valve body, water flow rotor assembly, steady flow system and hall component. Water flow sensor is usually mounted on the inlet of the heater to measure influent flow, and magnetic rotor assembly rotates when water flow through it. Hall component output and feedback corresponding pulse signal to controller, then controller adjust current of proportional valve and hence gas usage according to the flow rate.

Comparison between differential pressure water air linkage valve and water flow sensor

Differential pressure water gas linkage valve is mechanical, with complex structure and large volume, but the control circuit is simple; The water flow sensor is electrical, with relatively simple structure and small volume, but the control circuit is complex.

More importantly, the former has high starting water pressure and large resistance of waterway system, so it is not suitable to be used in high-capacity water heaters above 10L / min; The latter has low starting water pressure and low resistance of waterway system. It has been widely used in large capacity water heaters above 10L / min.
