Security Alarm Sensor Magnet

More and more security alarm sensor are widely used in smart appliances. Facing the gradual popularization and development of intelligent home network, it is more urgent to introduce all kinds of sensors into household appliances.

Security Alarm Sensors in Smart Appliances

Security alarm sensors are increasingly integrated into smart appliances. With the gradual popularization and advancement of intelligent home networks, the demand for incorporating various sensors into household appliances has become more urgent. People expect these appliances to enhance comfort, reduce energy and water consumption, simplify cleaning, lower noise and vibration, improve the user experience, and achieve greater intelligence.

Applications of Security Alarm Sensors in Homes

Different types of sensors can be installed in homes to provide comfort, safety, and protection:

1. Gas Sensors:
Installed in the kitchen, these sensors monitor harmful gas levels. When levels reach a critical threshold, the sensor transmits the information to a central processing system, alerting residents to take immediate action. If no one is home, the system can notify the relevant authorities to prevent accidents.

2. Temperature Sensors:
Placed in living areas, these sensors send indoor temperature data to the processor, which adjusts the air conditioning to maintain a comfortable and stable environment.

3. Anti-Theft Sensors:
Installed at entry points, these sensors detect unauthorized access when the house is unoccupied. Upon detection, the sensor sends a notification to the homeowner's mobile device. Using a connected camera, the homeowner can monitor the situation in real time through an app. In case of suspicious activity, the system can activate an audible and visual alarm to deter intruders.

Types of Security Alarm Sensors

  • Gas sensor
  • Anti-theft sensor
  • Door magnetic sensor
  • Temperature sensor
  • Water immersion sensor
  • Sound sensor

Many of these sensors incorporate neodymium magnets for enhanced functionality.

Magnetic Door Alarm Sensors

Working Principle:
A door magnetic sensor consists of two main components: a wireless transmitting module and a magnetic block. Inside the wireless transmitting module is a "steel reed" switch.

  • When the magnet is within 1.5 cm of the reed switch, the circuit remains open.
  • If the magnet moves farther than 1.5 cm away, the reed switch closes, creating a short circuit. This triggers the alarm indicator and sends an alert signal to the central system.

Signal Transmission Range:
The wireless signal of a door magnetic sensor can reach up to:

  • 200 meters in open spaces.
  • 20 meters indoors, depending on the environment.

Power-Saving Design:
Most wireless door magnetic sensors are energy-efficient:

  • When the door is closed, the device consumes minimal power (only a few microamps) and does not transmit signals.
  • When the door is opened, the sensor sends a wireless alarm signal for about 1 second before automatically stopping. Even if the door remains open, it does not continue transmitting the signal.
