10mm neodymium sphere magnets are spherical sintered NdFeB permanent magnets with a 10 mm diameter and a nickel-based protective coating. Each magnet has a north and south pole on opposite sides of its spherical surface.

Unlike flat disc or block magnets, these spherical magnets can roll and rotate freely, allowing their orientation to change during movement or contact with magnetic materials. This makes them suitable for applications requiring movable or adjustable magnetic components.

Our 10mm NdFeB sphere magnets are commonly manufactured in N42 grade. They can attract small ferromagnetic objects such as paper clips and be used in lightweight magnetic holding applications.

Unlike flat magnets, a sphere makes point-like contact with a flat steel surface. This limits its effective contact area and allows it to roll or rotate more easily. Its holding performance differs from that of a disc or block magnet, depending on magnet geometry and installation conditions.

The ability to move and reorient is a key reason for choosing a spherical magnet instead of a flat magnet.

Applications
