Why can't strong magnets be made too thin?

We all know that a strong magnet is a solid sintered from rare earth neodymium iron boron. Its magnetism is very strong, and it is used in many fields. It is also a common magnet with relatively large demand in the market. It has different shapes and sizes, thick and thin, long and short. There are simple and complex, the thickness and length of the magnet has a certain range, not as much as you want, it must conform to the characteristics of the magnet itself.

I often encounter customers asking whether the powerful magnet can be made bigger or thicker. In fact, these are all possible. However, if it is too large, its magnetic force is very strong, and it is very inconvenient to use. Once it touches a ferrous product, the strong magnet will attract it, and it is easy to break the magnet. In severe cases, it will hurt people, so We will not recommend customers to use too large ones; secondly, it is very inconvenient to use when the magnet is too thin, because it is rare earth, it is very easy to disconnect, and the magnetic force is very strong, it is easy to cause waste of product cost .

Some customers' product design requires the thickness of the magnet to be 0.2mm, 0.3mm, what should I do?

Because the blade of the magnet processing machine has a certain thickness, if it is too thin, the loss due to the amount of cutting will be very large, and the thickness of about 0.5mm is relatively much better. At present, the company's mass-produced powerful thin magnets are eyelash magnets, and the sizes are commonly used in 3*1*0.3mm/2*1*0.3mm/5*1*0.3mm and so on.
