Among The Three Solutions Of Acid, Alkali And Salt, Parylene Has The Best Protective Effect On Magnet
Mar 02, 2023
Because NdFeB is resistant to corrosion and has poor oxidation performance, it generally needs to be electroplated to prevent corrosion. So, what materials can NdFeB be electroplated? Which effect is better for plating in acid-base salt solution?
NdFeB magnet coatings generally include nickel plating, copper, chromium, gold, black zinc, blue and white zinc, epoxy resin, etc. Depending on the material used, the color of the magnet surface will vary. The storage time and corrosion resistance are also different.
According to the test, among the three solutions of acid, alkali and salt, parylene has a better protective effect on magnets, epoxy resin is relatively poor, NI coating is next, and ZN coating is relatively poor. (The price of parylene will be much higher)
At present, Parylene coating is widely used on ultra-small NdFeB. For conventional products such as permanent magnet motors, if you consider improving the corrosion resistance, you can choose electrophoretic epoxy paint. For general products, you can choose nickel plating, zinc plating, etc. Customers can choose the appropriate plating material according to the nature of the product.
