AlNiCo Bar Magnet

AlNiCo derives its name from the acronyms of the alloy's primary elements, which include aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), and cobalt (Co) (Co). In comparison to sintered Neodymium magnets and sintered Samarium Cobalt magnets, AlNiCo magnets are much more sensitive to demagnetization fields.

Compared with sintered neodymium magnets and samarium cobalt magnets, AlNiCo magnets are more sensitive to demagnetization fields.

The bar magnet form is defined by its geometry, where the distance between the two poles is greater than the dimensions of the pole faces, typically specified by length (L), width (W), and thickness (T).

Permanence Coefficient

 

The equivalent magnetic charge method can be used to calculate the permeance coefficient (Pc) of a bar magnet, where W, T, L, and Le are the width, thickness, physical length, and effective length of the magnet, respectively. The physical length L of the bar magnet will not always be served in the formula. The Le of a Neodymium magnet, a Samarium Cobalt magnet, or a ceramic magnet is assumed to be equal to L. Because of its low coercivity, AlNiCo bar magnets have a higher rec. Each grade of AlNiCo has a different rec and thus a different effective length factor k. Because it is longer in the magnetization direction than in the pole face dimension, the AlNiCo bar magnet is ideal for limiting self-magnetization.
